The Turkey Jam was started as something to do on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving. Within a couple of years, it had grown and I thought it was a great way for local musicians to have a reason to get together and hang out and jam. I tried to change up the format and structure every year to keep it interesting. Well, bands started getting their own gigs on that night and the interest started to decline.
